(This shoot has been published on Grey Likes Weddings!)Â I am so excited to share this whimsical wedding styled shoot! Oh Hello Events, B Moore Artistry, and Catherine Ann Photography put together the concept for this shoot over lunch one day. We had all been wanting to do a bright, old Florida inspired shoot so of course, being the giddy girls we are, we all let out a high pitch giggle when we knew we were on the same page! Our inspiration came from the vintage citrus postcards of Old Florida, the colors and kitschyness of the 1940’s and 50’s and the retro feel of the 60’s. We tried to stay as authentic as possible while adding a touch of whimsy. The dishes were from the 1960’s and a lot of the jewelry used was vintage as well (the brides wedding bands were on loan from B Moore Artistry’s Stephanie…they belonged to her grandmother from the 1940’s!). Weeki Wachee was the perfect backdrop, it first opened in the 40’s and was world famous in the 50’s and 60’s, making it a hotspot for tourists at the time.
I couldn’t resist setting the flower crown on the head of this mermaid statue!
It looks much better on Molly though!

I loved all the dishes from Sassy Settings, she had every thing we needed! The seahorse cups were a vintage score at the Brocante Market by yours truly.Â
Another great reason to hire a planner: she matched the table cloths to look like the tiers of the wedding dress! Hello! Genius! (-:Â
No lie, after taking this photo, I shoved all three macaroons in my mouth. I was starving (-;Â
Heather of Taylormade is a Goddess. She put oranges in our bouquet! She is my new hero.Â
